reading book

It's been a year for me being clean from heroin. Some of my addict habits have since still stuck and I was more and more aware of them since being clean. So to help myself become even more of a stronger more spiritual person I read this book called "Awareness" by Anthony de Mello. This book is truely an amazing book in teaching people how to become more aware in their actions and emotions. It has helped me a great deal. The author Anthony used to be a Catholic Preist but is now a Jesuit, but he doesn't preach in the book which made it all the better to read. It helps you to recognize your flaws, other peoples flaws and learning how to accept them.
It touches on everyday issues, from being in love, becomig addicted to someone, relying on other people for your happiness, raising children, friends, but mostly discovering yourself.
I recommend this book to everyone!

reading book

At the moment, I think my life has unfortunately gone way beyond something any self-help book will be able to fix!

A couple of years ago, I was having trouble with relationships with friends and family. I read a book called ''The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective Teens''. (There's a similar book for adults)... It was really interesting and had 7 habits to bring into your life, 3 which focus on you and 4 which focus on your relationships with other people. It was easy to work into your life too, because at the end of each chapter it had ''baby steps'' that you can start doing right away to get the habit into your life.

I hope this helped.

I tried several books, but it quite of work a little bit.The thing about the books is that they are just books. there is no one guiding you, but yourself. You have to really get your mind into what the book says to follow thru.
