The Outsiders is an easy, fairly short read. It’s about a group of kids in a gang. Theres lots of fighting between the “greasers” and “socials(soc’s”). There’s also a murder, but I don’t want to give too much away.

The sequel to that is “That was Then, This is Now”, it’s also about gangs, just a different one in the area who tend to be a little more violent.
I read these two books in 7th grade, they are very easy to read, but they still are two of my favorite books.
