Dark Mysticism?

Inscrutable [Anti-Matter] asked:

I’ve never had a lot of faith in mysticism or the “dark arts,” but now I find myself curious about the subject. Anybody know where I can find some comprehensive information? No palm reading, tarot cards, psychic hot lines, etc. please.
I guess I’m looking for power. Theoretically, if I were willing to have my soul poisoned, flesh flayed from my bones, etc. where could I find the most power in mysticism? Not looking to dabble, just looking for theories of practice.

Reputable mystics aren’t dark.
Buddhist are mystics.
Sufis are Islamic mystics.
Gnostics are Christian mystics.
Hindus are mystics.
There are many more.

Mystics learn from personal experience and find Divinity within, because the Divine isn’t something separate, in fact nothing is separate, all mystics agree that we are in fact one thing.

Yeshua(Jesus) was a mystic, so was Buddha and Krishna.

A dark mystic is a failed mystic like the mystics that worked for Adolf ****** also Rasputin, Anton Levay, and Charles Manson.

There’s power there, dude. But you don’t want that crap. Not only is it a ‘lesser’ power, but it will f* with you. It will start out giving you a little control to get you hooked but after awhile you’ll find the only thing being controlled is you. So it’s your choice, but consider yourself warned. God’s got more power but you can’t control him and he’ll probably try to change you too. But He’s good and the dark arts are… well, dark. So make your bets my friend.

My best recommendation (your subject is very broad) is the library. If you have any particular field you would like to research, I’m sure I could be of more assistance.

Mysticism, covers a very large field, you’ll need to break it down some more, specifically what are you looking for. Right now though, I don’t even really know what game you are playing, let alone what ballpark, so to speak.

Tantra can be considered *Dark* for to know Red Tantra one must experience it first hand.Tantra is a Path of paradox, of Coyote/Trickster energy. Nothing is as it seems, all rules are to be broken, because the world’s judgments and rules are only jokes and illusions which hold us back from enlightenment. It’s about meditations where you envision sweet pretty young blue virgins visiting to cleanse you…and using their nails to lovingly rip your body open and pull out your entrails in all their bloody gore to do so. All during this bloody adventure, they look deep into your eyes with love.
Tantra is about embracing death and destruction of ourselves. Every life ends in a death. Every relationship ends in tragedy: either the couple breaks up or someone dies, leaving the other to grieve. And yet…we still move forward, still participate, still open our hearts to another and to Life. : )
