What is a good website or book to find a good research paper about journalism?

I need to write a 6-12 research paper on journalism and i need to find a good website or book with good essays from other students so i can get a feel for what i am doing…where do i find that?

Journalism is such a wide field that you really need to make your aim a little more specific. What do you want to research? How about the impact that celebrities have on the media? Or the way that 24-hour news channels digest and produce stories? Perhaps the part that ordinary citizens play in newsgathering (”Citizen Journalism”), like sending in photos to TV channels?
If you’re looking for something that you can connect to wider society, I suggest checking out Bob Franklin’s thesis on “McJournalism”, a response to George Ritzer’s book – concerning how sloppy journalism is getting nowadays, although he is a British academic.
