english speech?

we have to give an informative speech.

im doing mine on palm reading

and i dont know how to start the speech or really get in to it.
the speech has to be about 4-6 minutes long

i was thinking about starting off the introduction with something about your future literally lies in the palm of your hand then get into the history of palm reading and then the different lines.

could you give me some ideas.

also some ideas on what i should bring in for visuals would be nice.

it just has to inform the class.

my teacher said its something that would keep the class interested
umm yea im a girl. so i dont think i want to ask any girls out on any dates thanks

Try to open with something that will grab your audience’s attention.

You’re doing an informative speech, so basically you want to give a lot of information. My teachers always told me, “Assume your readers and listeners know nothing about the topic”. I suggest taking that route with yours. Find the history of palm reading and find statistics online of people who believe in them and just everything you can. Informative speech, just inform the listeners nearly everything there is to know about palm reading. Don’t stay on one aspect too long because you’ll lose interest and also be sure to take your type reading and articulating your speech so you don’t speed through it before you time is finished. I hope that helped you out a little bit.

1. Look for a really hot girl or someone you wanna ask for a date.
2. Then, start by asking her if you can read her palm.
3. Read her palm. Just make stuff up like “This line shows that you’ll be having dinner tonight with someone charming from this class. Probably around 8 and casual dress”
4. Go into your research information then that’s it.
Interact with your audience more. (You just score a date with your dream girl and girls think you’re cool)
