Without knowing exactly what ARV280 is, although I assume it is a class number, I will use ARV280 in my corrections. However, it would be good of you to refer to the class by name, at least the first time you mention it. For example, if it’s called “Photography Portfolio Building,” say that instead of ARV280 in the first sentence.

The goals I would like to accomplish in ARV280 are simple,(change to a period) I would like to learn as much as I can on how to build an amazing portfolio so I can be successful at getting a job in the photography field.(remove everything after the amazing portfolio) I hope to personally achieve in ARV280 the confidence to walk into any job interview knowing that I have a portfolio that will get me the job I am going for.(Instead, say, “I also hope to use this experience to grow as a person and develop the confidence needed to secure the job I want.”) I hope that I can leave ARV280 knowing that I will do good with the portfolio I have and be able to achieve all of my goals when searching for a job.(Instead, try, “I plan to leave ARV280 knowing that the portfolio I have developed will help me achieve my goals in the market.” I plan on going into the wedding photography field and would like to have my own business, but first I would like to work with some local wedding photographers and get the feel of what the business is like before I go and take on the responsibility of running my own company. (How about, “My goal is to someday own my own wedding photography business and lead those who work under me to success. Before I can do that, I will need to work with some accomplished, local photographers and get the feel of what the business is like. Then I’ll be ready to take on the responsibility of running my own company. I feel that ARV280 will help to get me there.”)

So, the new letter would read as follows:

The goals I would like to accomplish in ARV280 are simple. I would like to learn as much as I can on building a professional and impressive portfolio. I also hope to use this experience to grow as a person and develop the confidence needed to secure the job I want. I plan to leave ARV280 knowing that the portfolio I have developed will help me achieve my goals in the market. My goal is to someday own my own wedding photography business and lead those who work under me to success. Before I can do that, I will need to work with some accomplished, local photographers and get the feel of what the business is like. Then I’ll be ready to take on the responsibility of running my own company. I feel that ARV280 will help to get me there.
