No the book is now yours.

My guess would be around 10-15 dollars for that new book. The book stores never give you a good buy back price. If you write in it even less. You would do better selling it to someone taking that class. Some times ebay is also a good place. But that has to do with really the book. If its used by a lot of colleges or not.

You can go to the link below and put in the isbn number in the “sell listing” it should give you around what the book store would.

If i was you i would never buy new books if you can help it. Try to buy them online. Again the link below gives a good search for comparing book stores for lowest price.

The book is yours. As for how much you’ll get back, that really depends on where you sell them back, how expensive they are, and what type of class it is for.

Some places off-campus offer a higher percent back to get books, and if they’re expensive books, you might get a bit more back. Also, if this is for a class that many have to take (like a core class), sell it back as quick as you can because everyone will be selling this book back and as they start to reach their quota of how many books they want, the price starts to go down and eventually they won’t take them at all. If it’s an upper-level class, or something specific to your major, chances are they won’t get too many too quickly and chances are better of getting any money back.

But don’t bet too much on getting money back from your books: in my experience, it’s nowhere near what you actually pay for the book.
