<a href="**"></a>

The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) sets wage, hours worked, and safety requirements for minors (individuals under age 18) working in jobs covered by the statute. The rules vary depending upon the particular age of the minor and the particular job involved. As a general rule, the FLSA sets 14 years of age as the minimum age for employment, and limits the number of hours worked by minors under the age of 16.

There is no harm in stopping by a store and asking them about employement options

Do you like little kids?? Maybe you can design a promotion where you read books to little kids twice a week for an hour while there is a sale going on, to help expand the store's customer base...

I would suggest that you look up their website. . Then go to careers next to about us within their site. And then go from there. You can even e-mail the borders website. Your age limit question. As i would have no clue. But i hope that the borders website helps. I hope that this helps you.

Most places will not hire you before you are sixteen because of labor law restrictions and insurance. If you really love books, how about applying to work at a library. They may not hire you until you are 16, but you could volunteer now.
