Is it a good idea to go to the book store and sit there and read their manga everyday without paying them?

I really want to read more manga but I’ve already read all of the manga from the library and I’m too broke right now to buy them, is it a good idea to go to the book store everyday and sit there and read them? Do you think the store clerks will eventually catch on to what I’m doing and tell me to either buy the books or stop reading them?

I’ve never experienced any sort of problem with reading books in a bookstore. Big chains like Barnes and Noble and Borders even have chairs set up around the stores for exactly that purpose.

And the store clerks won’t tell you that, don’t worry – they probably don’t care enough about the store’s profit, first off, and second, they’d be risking their jobs if they did that.

Just read and enjoy yourself. :o )

They don’t actually care that much. Nobody minds if you sit there and read, they just figure you will eventually buy it. And if anyone asks, say you want to find out if it’s any good before you actually buy it.

The store clerks only work there; they don’t really care what you do.

Well at many of the book stores I have been to if they see you doing that they will make you leave.

I do that all the time, and I’ve worked at a bookstore–there’s no problem with it!

Both Barnes and Noble and Borders make it quite comfy for visitors to just do that *shrug* Rotate the spots where you sit and buy a cup of coffee every once in a while when you can afford it.

Go for it, I do it sometimes. Just please don’t sit on the floor and block the aisles for those buying. I swear sometimes I circle the shelf and when I reach one side the amount of people sitting around multiply. haha. Then it makes it hard to browse because you feel like you’re hovering. Big books stores are the best because they have tables for that purpose. Happy manga reading!

The chairs are there for a reason. Use them. I know lots of people who just go in and spend an afternoon reading manga. However, make sure that you don’t damage the books, because then you ruin them for the next person, or for the person who buys them.

Browsing the books are fine but remember that other people may buy the book after you so make sure you don’t bend the pages back or damage it as it’s really annoying. i work in a bookstore and whilst yes its fine for you to browse a selection of books its really rude and irritating when people come in and just read. my manager makes us move people along and its really rather embarassing. also going in everyday will make the people that work there suspicious, in my branch people have been banned which is a bit far, as long as the shops are relatively quiet there shouldn’t be much of a problem…maybe if the library is out of manga books to read this could be the chance to branch out and try something new!!

It has over 100 main stream series including all the Naruto, Bleach, and Claymore you can handle. It’s update on a weekly basis with the latest Mangas with English translations.

I think that it is fine to read the book at the store. The only issue i have with this is that when others go to buy a book it looks used. The staff are unlikely to comment even if they catch on as I am sure many have thought of doing it themselves.

Another alternative is to read them online. This is the way I prefer to read them. There are many good sites that you can use to read manga online. There are two options, one is websites that you must download the manga to read, the other is websites were you can read without download.

I’m not really sure of other websites to download from as i prefer to read online because i **** waiting for the manga to download.
