Vi a elefantes, leones, y pingüinos. Me aburrí, y decidí volver a mis padres.
(…continued from above) Fui muy asustado.
Here’s what I’m trying to say (I always write it out in English first before I try to write it in Spanish):

When I was five years old, I went to the zoo in Washington, D.C. There were many animals there. I saw elephants, lions, and penguins. After we ate lunch, I wanted to see the pandas, but my parents wanted to see the tigers. When we walked by the panda house, I left my parents to go see them, but they didn’t notice. There were a hundred people at the entrance. I could hardly get through the crowd. I walked until I was able to see them through the glass window. They were very big and looked nice, but they were not very interesting. The two pandas were sitting and not doing anything. I was bored, and decided to go back to my parents. I looked around, but I could not find them. I ran outside the cave, but I still could not find them. I was very scared. Everyone that walked by looked so big to me. So I went back to the picnic area. As I was walking, I saw my parents.
(…continued) I ran to them. That day, I learned never to run away from my parents.
